In this blog I share the inner twirls of my mind, dreams, worries and what else I feel like laying on my readers, who are mostly my friends I guess.

Hope you all enjoy it!

The best moments of 2018

The best moments of 2018

  1. Winning the Belgian Championship
I think the number one on my list is my girls winning the Belgian Championship in 2018. After being removed from the selection for the World Championships, this victory was the ultimate proof that they are not only my number 1, but also Belgium’s.

  2. Launch of Arvesta
After working relentlessly for months on our new name, it was such an amazing experience to finally share it with the world. A lot of blood, sweat and tears (from me), but hey… we got there!!

  3. Travelling in Mexico
This could be my number 1 as well, because the 3 weeks of travelling through Mexico were a dream. My love of taco’s has returned and it has given me a determination to travel a lot more. Big thanks to my travel companion for all the laughs.

  4. Buying a house
Screaming out loud in the middle of a training at work “Oh Fuck, I just bought a house”, wasn’t the best way to announce it, but yes. I got my own crib. Like the birds in Finding Nemo would say… MINE MINE MINE. (And the bank’s of course :D ) And right! I am renting out two rooms in the lovely Mechelen. Any takers?

  5. Having a framily & being a godmother
The everyday joy of being able to rely on somebody to be there for you is the best part of 2018 and all the years to come. Cooking together on a Friday night, playing with my godson and talking hours on end. You make my life complete.

  6. Chicks on waves
Learning to surf in Portugal with my best friend was a blast. Falling on my face a 100 times over is just part of the deal. Meeting new people who give you purpose in life is just the most amazing thing.

  7. Trip to London
Having breakfast together in London with a view over Hyde Park on an amazing sunny morning was a dream. Thanks so much for those many amazing moments and making me think about a zillion things over and over again.

  8. Acro reunion
Seeing all my beautiful gymnasts again after months was just amazing. Sharing memories and admiring how amazing they all are just fills me with the biggest sense of fulfillment. Love my girls (& Gilles) ;-)

  9. Friends & Food
Thanks to my friends for showing up at my themed parties with full enthusiasm carrying a load of stuff for the children. I appreciate the effort a lot. To many more parties filled with Mexican photo booths, cupcakes, the banana game and all of your lovely faces.
