Gilmore Girls - It's a religion, it's a lifestyle
Gilmore girls, or as one of my male friends likes to call it ‘Another gooey series about women like there are millions’. Agree to disagree I say. I began watching the series with my mother and we were absolutely addicted to it. Since she has passed, you understand I have become even more attached to it. My ex-husband had to endure many a nights watching the girls and even began to enjoy it in the end I think, but probably not as much as me.
So Gilmore Girls is about a mother and a daughter and a community of people. Like any other series it revolves around emotions, events, break-ups and fights, love and much more. But it is some much more. As they would say it ‘It’s a lifestyle, it’s a religion’. It’s fast and smart dialogue. It’s being your own personal brand of weird. It’s feminism in a pure form. It’s not caring about everyone’s opinion. It’s being addicted to coffee and books. It’s making your own rules and living by them. It’s about making mistakes. It’s about seeing the world as your playground.
Watch 3 episodes, if you are not sold by then… we cannot be friends anymore. ;)
And remember… an open mind always sees more.
